- I'm the author of DARKNESS AND THE DEVIL BEHIND ME and HARLEM REDUX, both mysteries set against the glittering backdrop of 1920s Harlem. A native New Yorker, I also lived in Europe for some 15 years. In earlier years, I wrote for The Associated Press, worked as a radio anchor and edited business-to-business magazine articles. In addition to writing fiction, I also edit as co-president of Gentle Pen Editorial Services (www.gentlepen.com).
